Ismael Rodriguez

Master Artist Instructor

Ismael has been a life long artist (attended Fiorella LaGuardia HS of Music & Art in New York City and went on to get a BFA and BA). After almost 30 years in the human services field and as an educator, he voluntarily ‘retired’ to pursue life-long ambitions: actively pursuing creative endeavors (art, writing, acting) and guiding individuals to healthier lifestyles as a swim and triathlon coach. Though he is 'semi-retired' from triathlons he remains very active with hiking, swimming, cycling, and other fitness activities.

He's had several exhibitions over the years in New York City and was the Artist-In-Residence at the now defunct Agueybana Bookstore in 1997. In June, 2020 he hosted a virtual art exhibition to celebrate Puerto Rican heritage and in September, 2020 had an outdoor exhibition at the Boogie Down Grind Cafe paying homage to his Bronx roots. Ismael's work is also featured at the Negro League Baseball Museum.

His love for the Adirondack region and his passion for art and teaching have all come together to create a magical place: The Peaks Paintbar.

Taylor Marie, Artist

Taylor attended SUNY Plattsburgh where she earned a BA in Studio Art with a concentration in painting. Taylor also majored in Psychology with a minor in Art Therapy. She then went on to earn a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Upon graduating, Taylor has become a full-time artist creating one-of-a-kind, original artwork for commissions and expanding her portfolio. Her artistic blueprint incorporates psychological and spiritual dynamics, expressing the utilization of Universal energies to create our own reality. Taylor combines her training in mental health with her artistic endeavors for herself and others.

Taylor veered away from the traditional path to do what makes her soul feel alive. Art and painting have always been constants through everything life threw at her. Now, with all the love and support from the people around her, she is pursuing her passion and career as an artist.

“I feel it was fate the day I discovered The Peaks Paintbar. I loved it as soon as I saw it. I truly believe we will provide and receive so much abundance from doing what we love. I’m so happy to be a part of this team and work with these amazing people.”
